Kenny did much of the construction on the retreat while MaryLea designed and decorated the space, keeping crafters in mind.

A love of crafting and country.

MaryLea has been keeping memories in journals, photo albums and creative books since her childhood. She started the official "scrapbooking" in 1998 and was hooked. So much so that she opened her own scrapbook store in Atlanta in early 2000. The store was called Atlanta Scrapbook Connection. You may have shopped there. The store closed in 2008 but her love for scrapbooking didn't die with it. MaryLea has been coming to the "farm" since she was 8 years old. Spent every summer of her childhood here until high school. Love for country and nature came from those summers. The original barn was an apartment on top of a huge barn-like storage room intended for farm equipment. The perfect size for a crafting room. The idea was born to create a scrapbook retreat getaway. Heck, MaryLea was still finding time to scrapbook, but only at weekend retreats. Why not share the beauty of the farm with fellow crafters who also love scrapbooking? It was almost three years in the making. Takes a long time when you only have weekends to work on it. But we are ready to share our slice of heaven with you. Come escape technology. Put your phones down. Breathe fresh air and create. We hope you will come try it out, fall in love, and come again and again. We love sharing our little “slice of heaven” with other crafters.
